The scent of pleasure

Capacity : 75 ML

A legend of hedonistic love, radiating with neroli, tuberose and jasmine

A bright, luminous and airy essence, Jardins de Bagatelle is a sparkling fragrance. At its heart you’ll find a veritable bouquet of white flowers (neroli, jasmine, gardenia) celebrating the joyfulness of life, while the base note centres around the poisonous tuberose flower and woody notes.

HOUSE SECRETS

After agreeing to a challenge set by Queen Marie-Antoinette, the Comte Artois, brother of Louis XVI, took on the feat of building a small château in the Bois de Boulogne near Paris in just 64 days. Dream became reality for Marie-Antoinette and the Château de Bagatelle was built. Described as a “folly”, its gardens became known for being one of the most romantic places in 18th and 19th century Dandy’s Paris. A small, paradise-like haven, close to 700 rose varieties still grow there today.

A LEGENDARY BOTTLE

Designed by Raymond Guerlain in 1912, its iconic “inverted heart” bottle is underscored with graceful scrolls typical of Art Nouveau. Its avant-garde stopper, in the form of a hollowed heart, evokes the delicate romanticism of this perfumery masterpiece and represented a real technical feat at the time.
