A sumptuous, woody interpretation of the rose
In this woody-floral, the metallic facet of the aldehydes offers the rose ever more vibrancy. Unexpected notes of honey and patchouli add even further mystery.
The fragrance artist’s touch
"If it were an opera, Carmen by Georges Bizet."
This proud, powerful rose is reminiscent of Carmen, heroine of the eponymous opera, striding forward, flower in mouth and head held high. A passionate lover, she hides a dagger in her back, ready to cut right to the heart.
Rose
Hand-picked in Turkey and Italy, the Damascena rose characterises the trail of Rose Barbare. It plays here in excess, as an essence with fruity notes of lychee and raspberry and as an absolute with mellower honeyed facets.
It takes four to five tons of Damascena rose petals to obtain a litre of its essence.
Cherished material used in the Guerlinade, the “Queen of Flowers” asserts herself in legendary compositions such as Nahéma and La Petite Robe Noire.
