01 When Guerlain’s Bee becomes Queen
Guerlain’s history is exceptional in every way. Le Secret de La Reine imagined by Lorenz Bäumer, a famous Parisian jeweller of the place Vendôme, is above all one of the most sumptuous objects ever born from these artistic collaborations. For the very first time, two masterpieces of High Jewellery are adorned, as an ultimate touch of refinement, with a fragrant trail. More than a precious piece glittering with diamonds, these stunningly beautiful creations are an absolute symbol. The exaltation of the Bee, the quintessence of the Guerlain spirit since it landed in 1853 on the bottle of the Eau de Cologne Impériale.
02 Two unique editions glittering with gold and diamonds
Genuine masterpiece, Le Secret de La Reine is set with over 14 carats of diamonds, including a pear-shaped 2-carat D-Flawless diamond (highest colour and clarity grade). Each of the two pieces is offered with a delicate necklace adorned with 10.47 carats of diamonds on a white gold chain of 18.88 grams.
This perfumed jewel was imagined in two fabulous incarnations by Lorenz Bäumer. Whether it be graphic, with 40 carats of onyx, or luminous, in 40-carat rock crystal, one last, infinitely refined jewel will complete this masterpiece: a perfume as faceted as a diamond, to choose from the legendary creations of Guerlain.
03 Le Secret de La Reine, the quintessence of High Jewellery
The diamond-set Queen Bee, to be worn as a brooch or pendant, hides a magic secret in its heart. Gently apply pressure on the spectacular 2-carat pear-shaped diamond that adorns its body, and it opens its diamond-paved wings, revealing a delicate lace of gold in a harmonious honeycomb pattern. These slender alveoli form a precious olfactory material which can hold one of Guerlain’s mythical perfumes. That is the Queen’s Secret: with one beat of her wings, she releases the most exquisite of nectars.
04 Lorenz Bäumer, an artist jeweller and art lover
The one and only independent jeweller of the legendary Place Vendôme for the past 30 years, trained as an engineer, and a lover of the arts in all their forms, Lorenz Bäumer and Guerlain have a long-standing relationship. Bound by a love of perfume and by the Place Vendôme, where the Maison had one of its first prestigious addresses, they have been collaborating for over a decade. With Le Secret de La Reine, Lorenz Bäumer, who is always seeking out innovative ways of glorifying jewels, has pushed the boundaries of his art.

Requiring over 500 hours of work, cutting-edge technologies for the creation of the gold body using a 3D printer and high-precision traditional techniques, these two exceptional pieces gathered a team of outstanding craftsmen, from diamond-cutters to jewel-setter.
