For the 170th anniversary of the Bee Bottle, Guerlain partners with French jewellery House Chaumet to create a piece like no other, Bouquet de la Cour. A true jewellery masterpiece sparkling with its 658 grams of gold* and 336 diamonds* totaling 55 carats*. Essence of the extraordinary, this anniversary piece is the ultimate expression of the excellence of the two Houses. Unique down to its content, the Bouquet de la Cour will house a fragrance selected by the client from the Guerlain’s myriad iconic olfactory creations.
Dressed in gold and diamonds, this special object d’art tells the story of these exceptional Houses and their many parallels better than words ever could, starting with a common emblem: the bee. In 1853, as Pierre-François-Pascal Guerlain conceived the Eau de Cologne Impériale and the Bee Bottle for the wedding of Empress Eugénie and Napoleon III, Chaumet provided their wedding rings. Guerlain and Chaumet received the respective distinctions of “His Majesty’s Official Perfumer” and “Official Jeweller of the Empire.” These two exceptional Houses are bound by a shared set of standards: comparable heritage, identical values and a love of craftsmanship, these two exceptional Houses are bound by a shared set of standards.
By interweaving their roots, Guerlain and Chaumet have imagined a sophisticated and skilfully crafted masterpiece in the Bouquet de la Cour, elevating the most delicate of symbols: the bee. For Guerlain, Chaumet has designed an exclusive stunning adornment inspired by the iconic Bee My Love design to elevate the Bee Bottle. The bottle’s neck and shoulders are cloaked in chiselled gold honeycomb telling secrets of the hive. This chainmail gracefully combines with the original 69 bees of the emblematic Bee Bottle, in a moving encounter between past and present. The height of luxury, a gold plate inlaid with a diamond bee on the bottle's window is an invitation to personalise the piece with a name, a message, initials, or a date.
The secret within the bottle’s cap is even more captivating: an astonishing ring topped with a majestic two-carat diamond* which can be worn alone. Exclusive to Chaumet and christened the ‘Empress’, this cut is the brightest ever created. Hexagonal with 88 facets, it is much more dazzling than the classic ‘brilliant’ cut which traditionally consists of 57 facets. An outstandingly solar gold ring, joyfully reflecting the light off each of its rays and its 20 literal diamonds*.
“THE BOUQUET DE LA COUR PIECE IS THE PERFECT CONTRAST BETWEEN TRADITION AND MODERNITY.”
