02 A DREAMLIKE ARTIST WHO TRANSCENDS THE MATERIAL
An emerging artist on the Moroccan scene presented at the Révélations trade fair and the Dakar and Marrakech Biennales, Ghizlane Sahli likes to transform material to reveal its beauty, celebrate it and give it meaning. A textile and embroidery enthusiast, she recounts her lived experience and her vision of femininity through powerful, organic and poetic works of art. She has developed a three-dimensional embroidery technique using recycled bottles covered in silk yarn. Like cells, her “Alveoli” technique constructs the material, multiplying it to bring unique pieces to life.
