The 2024 Millésime will radiate Néroli Outrenoir, a fragrant gem in the L’Art & La Matière collection. The luminous neroli note is set off by the sparkling freshness of bergamot and petitgrain which is blending herbaceous nuances. This sumptuous combination of citrus and white flowers notes is confronted against a smoky tea accord giving the fragrance a dark undertone that is complex and captivating in equal measure.
The Guerlain Bee celebrates the sign of the dragon for epitomises the opulent pairing of two emblems: the imperial symbol and the most majestic of legendary creatures. Francesco Truscelli enhances the Bee Bottle, the House immutable icon for nearly 170 years. Dressed in scarlet red for this edition, it is sublimated with a jewel adorned in a trail of faceted crystals around its graceful neck.
Brought into being by Francesco Truscelli’s deft drawing skills, this ink and paper animal came to life in the historic house of Gonthiez Frères. After the lost wax casting step, molten brass is spectacularly reborn as an elegant dragon. Each creation is entrusted into the expert hands of a jeweller who refines and polishes the metal with passion and savoir-faire preparing it for its gold bath of pure 24-carat gold. Positioned one by one by hand, the 142 Swarovski® crystals and the 4 drop-shaped crystals set on chains cut and assembled down to the last link, bring this "jewel bottle" to life.
Virtuoso in the art of transforming and bringing a new lease of life to the jewellery of yesteryear, the Italian-born jeweller, an emotion creator, and a bespoke specialist, forges ties between family generations. He shares a deep attachment to know-how and transmission, values which are also dear to the House of Guerlain. Because over and above any other adornment, perfumes and jewellery reveal their power to arouse the emotions and the imagination, incomparably defying the relentless course of time.
