Once upon a time, four centuries ago, in India, there was a love that knew no bounds. For his beloved wife, the princess Mumtaz Mahal, the emperor Shah Jahan ordered the creation of the most luxurious gardens of Shalimar as a setting for their love. Later, he erected the Taj Mahal, a marvel admired by the entire world. This fabulous story inspired Jacques Guerlain to create an exquisitely seductive scent, the world’s very first ambery fragrance: Shalimar.
A LEGENDARY SIGNATURE, ENHANCED BY AN OVERDOSE OF JASMINE
Shalimar Souffle de Parfum unfolds with bright and sparkling citrus notes of bergamot, lemon and mandarin. At the heart, Indian Sambac jasmine radiates against a new note of orange blossom water absolute. Meanwhile, vanilla combined with an overdose of white musk enhance the fragrance’s delicate sensuality and reveal a deliciously bewitching facet.
JASMINE
Both radiant and intoxicating, jasmine is one of the Guerlain Maison's favourite raw materials. Here, combined with orange blossom absolute, it brings roundness to Souffle de Parfum’s signature, while revealing its sensual and sunny, honeyed accents.
VANILLA
As the essential raw material that sits at the heart of Guerlain’s famed “Guerlinade”, and a key note within the legendary Shalimar fragrance, vanilla is dear to the Guerlain Maison. Both sensual and blazing, it exudes multiple gourmand, woody, leathery and spicy scents on the skin.
