LEARN MORE ABOUT ORCHIDÉE IMPÉRIALE GOLD NOBILE’S TECHNOLOGY

Our Orchidée Impériale Gold Nobile skincare line is based on scientific developments related to photon emission by living skin cells. The term UPE (Ultra-weak Photon Emission) is used to describe this phenomenon of photon emission by cells. These photons, also known as biophotons, are particles emitted in very small amounts by living cells during biological reactions.
In addition, photons carry a certain amount of energy and are also known as being elementary constituents of light.

In the wake of these developments, our researchers have conducted work on human skin cells, leading to several results:

·     First of all, in collaboration with a team of biophysicists at Palacký University, which has the research tools required to measure UPE, significant differences in UPE between young and old (senescent) skin cells (fibroblasts) have been demonstrated. It has also been demonstrated that these differences are magnified when the cells are subjected to oxidative stress, in other words aggression. A summary of the results was published for the American Society of Cell Biology (ASCB) conference, which took place in Boston from 2 to 6 December 2023.

·     Then, still in collaboration with Palacký University, the activity of an extract of a specific orchid, Dendrobium nobile, in re-establishing the UPE of an aged cell to a level close to that of a young cell, under conditions of oxidative stress, has been demonstrated.¹

.     Moreover, our researchers have also demonstrated that this same orchid extract boosts procollagen I synthesis in skin cells (senescent and non-senescent human fibroblasts).¹ It is accepted that collagen expression decreases with skin ageing², consequently having an impact on skin qualities such as elasticity, firmness and resistance.³

For this reason, this Dendrobium nobile orchid extract has been incorporated into the composition of the new Orchidée Impériale Gold Nobile skincare line.

Finally, we carried out clinical or instrumental measurements that demonstrate the Orchidée Impériale Gold Nobile serum and cream’s ability to improve skin’s youthful appearance, acting on ten signs of youthfulness and six factors of light:

·     Results of the cream:
Ten signs associated with young-looking skin are improved: wrinkles, fine lines, smoothness, plumpness, firmness, elasticity, density, lifting effect, skin texture fineness, pores.
Six factors of light enhanced as perceived on skin: brightness, radiance, homogeneity, colour imperfections, complexion perfection, transparency.

·     Results of the serum:
Ten signs of youthfulness amplified: wrinkles, fine lines, smoothness, plumpness, firmness, elasticity, density, lifting effect, skin texture fineness, revitalisation.
Six factors of light enhanced: brightness, radiance, homogeneity, colour imperfections, transparency, clarity.
