Native to the peruvian Andes, the Black Orchid¹ is an ebony-coloured wild orchid. It has the rare distinction of flowering only two weeks a year, and – even more remarkably – bearing male and female flowers on the same plants. An invaluable quality that allows it – through an in-depth understanding of its environment – to adapt its metabolism by establishing an ongoing symbiosis with its ecosystem. In the face of dangers, excess sun or a lack of light, for example, it responds by producing more male flowers, thus encouraging the fertilisation of female flowers and, as a result, more fruit. It intelligently conserves its energy and optimises its longevity, embodying a real talisman against time.

The Eye and Lip Contour Cream nestles at the heart of a refillable porcelain jar realised in an artisan manner by the maison Bernardaud. Established since 1863 in Limoges, this prestigious family-owned manufacture has epitomised the excellence of french porcelain for over 150 years.

Handcrafted, this jar is enameled in black and enhanced with 24-carat gold.

A GESTURE BASED ON GUERLAIN SPA EXPERTISE

Apply in the morning and evening before La Crème Orchidée Impériale Black.

Take the cream with the smaller end of the applicator and then perform the massage gesture with its round part.

EYE CONTOUR
1. SMOOTH: draw a "figure eight" passing under the eyebrow and then slide back under the eye, from the temple to the inner corner of the eye. Repeat this gesture on the other eye.
2. DRAIN: apply deep, slow and progressive pressure with the round part of the applicator on each of the "acu-pressure points" below for five seconds, then release the pressure for another five seconds.
To relax the entire eye contour area, apply pressure midway between the two eyebrows.
To improve skin tone: apply pressure to the inner corner of the eye. Then, while maintaining contact, glide under the eyebrow until you press on the "tail" of the eyebrow and on the temples. Proceed from the "tail" of the brow to the inner corner of the eye, patting gently under the eye. Repeat for the other eye.

LIP CONTOUR
1. SMOOTH: press firmly and smooth, sweeping along the natural lip contour line, first in one direction, then the other. Perform a similar maneuver, but replace the sweeping motion with gentle patting to plump up the lips.
2. DRAIN: to gently stimulate the skin: apply pressure to a point between the cupid's bow and the nose.
